“The greatest work done in Jerusalem”

“The greatest  work  done in Jerusalem”

One of the  greatest things that has ever  been done for all  people happened  in Jerusalem    and  it  is the work  Jesus  did   for you on  the cross 2000 years ago!
The Son of  God came down to pay the  price of our sin and His forgiveness is available for  everybody who believes.

 We all  need reconciliation with God through His Son who paid our price.

 Prophet Isaiah talks about the 'suffering servant'( v.8 )  that;
'for transgressions of  MY People  he was punished!
Salvation was always by grace, not by good works.
Abraham and  Noah  were saved by faith, born  before the law was given to Moses.

This is what the Bible is promising;
As we read in Romans 8;1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are  in Christ Jesus.”
Jesus said;”I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned , but he has crossed over from death to life.” John 5;24   The work  Jesus  did for you is the salvation work that gives you access to God and eternal life!
Prophecy about  Savior's’ birth;
Isaiah 9;6
“ For to us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government will be  on his shoulders.  And he will be called  Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,  Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Matthew 1 starts with words;  ” The book of genealogy of Jesus Christ , the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.”
The promise that was made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, founders of the Jewish family, a promise later renewed to Kind David, that one of their descendants would reign over the nations forever ( see Gen 28;14, 2 Sam7;16) Yeshua fit the prophet’s description in every detail and was hailed  by thousands  of Jews a Messiah. ( John 19;38-39, Acts 6;7)
In Matthew 1;20-23  we read  what an angel said Mary ” that she will bring forth a Son and that His name will be Jesus and that He will save His people from sins” v.22 ” So all this was done  that it might be fulfilled  which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet , saying; ” Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bear a  Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated  ‘God with us”. Prophecy already  fulfilled from Isaiah7;14
Other facts;
Jesus knew  that he would be killed  in Jerusalem and that he would rise again on the third day;
Luke 18;31-33
Jesus took the Twelve  aside  and told them, “ We are  going  up to Jerusalem and everything  that is written  by  the prophets  about  the  Son of  Man  will be  fulfilled.  He will  be  handed  over  to the Gentiles . They will mock him, insult him, spit on him, flog him  and kill him. On he third day he will rise again.”
Jesus’   triumphal  entry to Jerusalem     ( Matthew 21;5  John 12;15 )
“The next day the great crowd that had come for the feast heard  that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out  to meet  him, shouting,  Hosanna! Blessed  is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the King of Israel! Jesus found  a young donkey and sat upon it, as it is written  in Zechariah 9;9;
“ Rejoice  greatly, o Daughter of   Zion, Shout  Daughter of Jerusalem!
See your  king  comes  to you  righteous  and having  salvation, gentle  and riding  on a donkey,
On a colt,  the foal  of a donkey.”
The  Old  and the New Testament tells us about why Jesus  came  to die;
Isaiah 53 ;5
“He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed  for our iniquities, the punishment  that brought us peace was upon him and by his wound we are healed.”
See; Hebrew 10; 14 “(…) by one  sacrifice he has made perfect for ever those  who are being made  holy.”
Hebrew 9;26 “(… he has appeared once for all at the end  of the ages  to do away with sin by the sacrifice  of himself.”
Psalm 22; 7    tells us details about what Jesus was facing on the cross and all these things happened exactly how they were described in the Old Testament;
“All who see me mock  me, they hurl  insults, shaking their  heads.  He trusts in the Lord let the Lord  rescue him, let him deliver  him since he delights in him.”
(  fulfilled in the  New Testament in Mathew  27;39,    Mark 15; 29   Luke 23;35)
Psalm 22; 16-18
“(..) they have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all  my bones.  People stare and gloat over me.
They divide  my garments  among them  and cast lots for my  clothing.”
( fulfilled in the New Testament in  Matthew 27; 35  Mark 15; 24   Luke 23;34  John 19; 24 )
Psalm 69;21
“ They put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst.”
( fulfilled in  the New testament  in Matthew 27;48    Mark 15; 36     John 19;28-29)
Psalm 34;20,  Numbers 9;12 ,  Exodus 12;46,
“  He protects  all his bones, not one of them will be broken.
(Fulfilled    in  John  19; 33-36 )” But when they came  to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his leg”
Zechariah 11; 12-13  tells us about Jesus  that would be  betrayed  for 30 silver coins
“  If you think   it best, give me my pay, but if not keep it. So they paid me thirty pieces of silver. And the Lord said to me ; throw it to the potter – the handsome price  at which  they priced me.”
( fulfilled in  Matthew 27; 3-9) ” When Judas , who  had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders.”
v.6  ” The chief priests picked  up the coins and said; ” it is against the law  to put  this  into the treasury , since it is bloody money.”
v.9 ” Then what was spoken  by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled; They took the thirty silver coins, the price  set on him by  the people of Israel.”
About Jesus  conquering  death;
Matthew 28;6  The angel said  ” I  know that you are looking for Jesus , who  was crucified . He is not here , he has  risen, just as he said. Come and see the place  where he lay”
We learn that God  gives us salvation while we believe in Jesus;
Romans 10;9  “If you confess   with your mouth ” Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that  God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Galatians 3; 11 ” Clearly no-one  is justified  before God  by the law, because ;” The righteous will live by faith.”
Hebrew  2;14   If you know Jesus   there is no fear of  death  for you;
” Since the children  have flash and blood, he too shared  in their humanity so that  by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death- that is , the devil, and free those  who  all their lives  were held in slavery  by their fear of death.”
The place where you are going to spend your eternity depends on your relationship with Christ.
He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.
( John 3;36)
“Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven." Matthew 10;32-33

Who is the Promised One?

"The Promised One"  is  the study  based on  the books  of  Isaiah, Zechariah and Psalms. It  lets you  find  your own answer  to the following; Who is the One the scriptures are promising? We will find out that He  is  a descendant of Abraham, born of a virgin,  called 'precious cornerstone' Isaiah 28;16,
"He will be given the  name; Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting father, Prince of Peace" Isaiah 9;6,
 " The One judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness" Isaiah 16;5,
He will be  "the light to the Gentiles  and bringing  salvation to the ends of the earth " Isaiah 42;6   &   Isaiah 49';6,
 '"The One opening the eyes of the blind" Isaiah 42;7, the One whose voice we should obey- Isaiah 50;10,
and based on Isaiah 53;11  "The One  who had to suffer for our sin to justify many"
 verse.3. "despised, rejected by men, the man of pains,we did not value him",
  v.5 "wounded for our transgressions, crushed because of our sins, the punishment  that brought us peace was upon him and by his wound we are healed
The verse .6 explains ;  " We all like sheep went astray, we turned each one to his own way, yet Adonai laid on him the guilt of all of us."
 v.7. " led as a lamb to the slaughter"
 v.8. "for transgressions of my people  he was stricken",
 v.11. " My righteous Servant shall justify many , for he shall bear their iniquities",
 In verse 12 it is said; " Therefore I will assign him a share with the great, he will divide the spoil with the strong for  having exposed himself to death and being counted among the sinners,
while actually bearing the sin  of many  and interceding  for the offenders."
 Zechariah 12;8-10   "The One  coming with the clouds!  Every eye will see Him, including those who pierced Him"

The question is simple like the first  verse in the book of  Isaiah " Who believes our report, to whom is the arm of Adonai revealed?"
This study below  shows also details  about  the person of Yeshua ( Jesus) and describes the facts that took place 2000 years ago. It's goal is not to convince you of anything but it lets  you find the answer for yourself.
Has it ever been any person that would fit so greatly with every detail to the given promise in the scriptures, the man so righteous, whose name is known all over the earth, the man who was killed and rose again after 3 days?
Based on Old Testament prophecy we know that the Messiah had to suffer first. Starting with the Genesis 3;15 "(...) he will bruise your head and you will bruise his heel."
Have you read ( in Luke 24;15-35) about  disappointed disciples who lost their hope seeing their Yeshua crucified? And then on the way to Emmaus, they shared their disappointment with the man that came up to them  ( They didn't know it was their resurrected Yoshua who came up to them )
They said  "We were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel, (...) today it is the third day since these things( his crucifiction ) happened." And  he  said to them;
" Foolish people! So unwilling to put your trust in everything the prophets spoke! Didn't  the Messiah  have to die like this before entering his glory?" And then he explained them all the things that could be found in the Scriptures written about him.

 In The New Testament in  Matthew 1;20-23  we read

Yeshua (Jesus)  was born of a virgin;  an angel said  to Mary ” that she will bring forth a Son and that His name will be Jesus and that He will save His people from sins” v.22 ” So all this was done  that it might be fulfilled  which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet , saying; ” Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bear a  Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated  ‘God with us”.

 descendant  of Abraham;
Matthew 1 starts with words;  ” The book of genealogy of Jesus Christ , the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.”
The promise that was made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, founders of the Jewish family, a promise later renewed to Kind David, that one of their descendants would reign over the nations forever
 ( see Gen 28;14, 2 Sam7;16) Yeshua fit the prophet’s description in every detail and was hailed  by thousands  of  Jews as Messiah. ( John 19;38-39, Acts 6;7)

 "stricken for transgressions of  My people"  " shall bear their iniquities"   "wounded for our transgressions"
Jesus knew  that he would be killed  in Jerusalem and that he would rise again on the third day;
Luke 18;31-33
Jesus took the Twelve  aside  and told them, “ We are  going  up to Jerusalem and everything  that is written  by  the prophets  about  the  Son of  Man  will be  fulfilled.  He will  be  handed  over  to the Gentiles . They will mock him, insult him, spit on him, flog him  and kill him. On he third day he will rise again.”

" The one who comes in the name of the Lord"     ( Matthew 21;5  John 12;15 )
“The next day the great crowd that had come for the feast heard  that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out  to meet  him, shouting,  Hosanna! Blessed  is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the King of Israel! Jesus found  a young donkey and sat upon it, as it is written  in Zechariah 9;9;

“ Rejoice  greatly, o Daughter of   Zion, Shout  Daughter of Jerusalem!
See your  king  comes  to you  righteous  and having  salvation, gentle  and riding  on a donkey,
On a colt,  the foal  of a donkey.”

"My righteous Servant shall justify many "   " Presented himself as a guilt offering"  " mocked  and insulted"      prophecied   in   Isaiah 53;10 and Pslam 22
New Testament  book of Hebrew 10; 14 “(…) by one  sacrifice he has made perfect for ever those  who are being made  holy.”

Hebrew 9;26 “(… he has appeared once for all at the end  of the ages  to do away with sin by the sacrifice  of himself.”

Psalm 22; 7    tells us details about what Jesus was facing on the cross and all these things happened exactly how they were described;
“All who see me mock  me, they hurl  insults, shaking their  heads.  He trusts in the Lord let the Lord  rescue him, let him deliver  him since he delights in him.”
The same words we find in  the New Testament in Matthew  27;39,    (Mark 15; 29   Luke 23;35)
" And those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads; and saying; ' You who destroy the temple  and build it in 3 days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross."

The one Crucified, the one whose garments were divided, and lots were cast for;  prophesied in Psalm 22
Psalm 22; 16-18     “(..) they have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all  my bones.  People stare and gloat over me.
They divide  my garments  among them  and cast lots for my  clothing.”
" Then they crucified him and divided his garments, casting lots "  (written in  Mark 15; 24   Luke 23;34  John 19; 24 )

Psalm 69;21
“ They put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst.”
Matthew 27;48  "One of them ran and took  a sponge, filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed , and offered it to him to drink."

The one whose bones won't be broken
Psalm 34;20,  Numbers 9;12 ,  Exodus 12;46,
“  He protects  all his bones, not one of them will be broken".
New Testament,  John  19; 33-36 )” But when they came  to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his leg”

The one betrayed for 30 silver coins ,   Zechariah 11; 12-13

“  If you think   it best, give me my pay, but if not keep it. So they paid me thirty pieces of silver. And the Lord said to me ; throw it to the potter – the handsome price  at which  they priced me.”

( fulfilled in  Matthew 27; 3-9) ” When Judas, who  had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders.”

v.6  ” The chief priests picked  up the coins and said; ” it is against the law  to put  this  into the treasury , since it is bloody money.”

v.9 ” Then what was spoken  by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled; They took the thirty silver coins, the price  set on him by  the people of Israel.”

 He is  the One defending  those who are  living in Jerusalem and  the One who was pierced;   Zechariah 12;8-10
"When that day comes, I will seek to destroy  all nations attacking  Yerushalayim  and I will pour out on the house of David  and on those living in Yerushalayim a spirit  of grace and prayer and they will look to me, whom they pierced. They will mourn for Him as one mourns for  an only son, they will be in bitterness on His behalf"
Revelation1;7  "Look He is coming with the clouds!  Every eye will see Him, including those who pierced Him,"
John 19;34 "One of the soldiers stabbed his side with a spear, and at one blood and water  flowed out."

John 20;24 " Now Thomas , one of the Twelve , was not with them  when Yeshua came. When the other disciples told him; 'We have seen the Lord'  he replied ;'Unless I see the nail marks in his hands, put my finger into the place  where the nails were and put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe it! A week later  Yeshua's disciples were in the room and this time Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked , Yeshua came, stood among them and said " Shalom aleikhem" Then he said to Thomas; 'Put your finger here, look at my hands, take your hand and put it into my side . Don't be lacking in trust but have trust!'Thomas answered him;' My Lord and my God."
Matthew 28;18  " Yeshua said; " All authority  in heaven and on earth has been given to me."

The One  taken up to heaven and the One coming with the clouds   Daniel 7;13
Acts 1;9  " ( ..) he was taken up before their eyes (  his disciples' ) and a cloud hid him from their sight" ,  v.11." (...) why are you standing staring into space? The One holding the key of David   (Revelation 3;7)
the One called the bread of life, ( John 6;36)
light of the world (John 8;12)
living water ( John 4;14)
Passover Lamb ( John 1;29)
The One who could perform so many miracles, raise the  dead  ones to life, calm down the storm, make the blind to see, paralyzed ones  to walk, cast out demons,  - why  didn't  He choose to save himself? Why did he offer himself on the  Festival of Unleavened Bread? ( Passover)

Jesus said " For this is my blood, which ratifies the New Covenant, my blood shed on behalf  of many, so that they may have their sins forgiven."

" For God so loved the world , that He gave his only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 3;16
As we read in Romans 8;1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are  in Christ Jesus.”
Jesus said;”I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned , but he has crossed over from death to life.” John 5;24

Who is the suffering servant in Isaiah 53?

By  many Jews Isaiah 53 is believed  to be talking about the whole nation- Israel.  Christians  believe  that the prophet is talking about Christ. Can Isaiah 53 be more clear to us?
From the point of what Jewish people believe lets try to answer the following question;
Would Israel's suffering really  justify the rest of the world?

Such a statement  is  based on Isaiah 53- ' the suffering servant' -Israel  should justify many .
Let's look how is the prophet writing about the 'servant';
v.3“Despised and rejected by mankind,”
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.”
( you as a Jewish people might admit; that is true; my nation is definitelly familiar with suffering)

v.4“Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,”
( who  does the fraze ' our pain' relate to....?, the question is; whose pain was taken  if  'he'- the suffering  servant is believed to be the nation of  Israel?)

    v.5”But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
    the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
    and by his wounds we are healed. “
    ( many  Jewish people say the word' pierced' is translated wrong way , but that doesn't change the fact that the whole verse is talking about a person that was ' crushed' , suffered and justified others!)
  1. 7”(...)he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
    and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
    he did not open his mouth.”
    ( Christians  know from the New Testament that Jesus said He laid His life out of His own will )
v. 8” (...)for the transgression of my people he was punished “
  1. 10“ (...)and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin(...)”
  2. 11 “(...)my righteous servant will justify many,and he will bear their iniquities. “
  1. (...)For he bore the sin of many,
    and made intercession for the transgressors.”
Before we continue explaing our topic
we will look at an important lesson from Moses;
When Moses asked God if he could be punished for the disobedience of  his people, God said ; 'No'
He said everybody was responsible for his own sin and pays for his own sin.God doesn't accept a sinful person as a sacrifice. There is no ransom either 'you for me' or ' I pay for you'- when it comes to  dealing with sin. That's why many of people of Israel died that time on the desert – anger of God came as a flame and consumed many.

How would  then be possible for the nation of Israel to pay for other people's sin? We will also answer why  then Jesus- as a Son of Man - believed by Christians- was allowed to pay for people' sin.

Looking closely  at the verse 8 we see that  the prophet Isaiah is explaining that his people are the ones for whom 'the servant' was punished:,
 v. 8” (...)for the transgression of my people he was punished “

looking closely at the  following words;
(...) of my people(...)

If the prophet is passing on God's words saying that the servant is punished for the sin 'of my people'
that means he is punished for the  people of  Israel.
You can see clearly that the servant is not the nation of Israel! Israel is also a nation for whom the servant -from Isaiah 53 -suffered!

Nobody is  justified just  because Israel suffered from others for centuries!
Israel didn't make an “intercession for the transgressors.” v.12
The nation can't bear sin of 'many' by being opressed by the 'many.'
If you believe that the 'suffering servant' in Isaiah 53 is the nation of Israel  and that by suffering the nation can justify many; it is like believing that  all the transgressors can be  justified by doing their wicked works on the people including also people of Israel!
                          For Christians it is very clear the prophet is talking about  Christ.
No nation can redeem other nation from their sin.
The scriptures says there is no just person on the earth.
If you fail even in one, you are guilty of all. We all would be in trouble if not the servant of God , whom He predicted  to send and to deal with the man's mail problem- which is sin!

The suffering that was going to be involved in the redemption process was already mentioned in the book of Genesis.
The first message we find in Genesis 3;15
“And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”

That's the first message that dealing with sin would include suffering.
The Messiah that was to come was predicted to go through suffering!
Christians believe in Jesus' redemption of sin - why?? Why was God going to accept Jesus' payment for sin for us if no other man was allowed?

Because  he was  a perfect sacrifice, as a sinless person with God's spirit living in him!

If he was a sinner like us, God would not restore him back to life, as a payment for sin is death!
Yet God restored  him back to life  and he was seen by many.

Things we don't realize about the Messiah;
Christ was not about only bringing peace to the world without first dealing with people' sin.

Nobody can live forever just trying to keep the law as we all failed at least once which disqulifies us from being called  righteous  ( on our own) before God!

Christ was never keeping people from the law but was helping them to fullfil it!!!

God want's you to walk in His ways and keep His word! Because we fail keeping God's word, Christ came to pay for what you failed to do.

Forgiveness of sin is not granted automatically to all the world because Christ payed for people's sin, it is a matter of accepting the forgiveness personally, it is admitting your own failure before God, and accepting His payment, His grace ,accepting the ransom for your sin which was Christ's death for you.

The only sacrifice God accepts is in the death of His son, as His son took your sin on himself and paid for it by dying for you.

If the Messiah -Jesus – was a fals sinful man , God wouldn't accept his payment for sin and wouldn't raise him from the dead!
Understanding the Isaiah 53  -that it is Christ who is the 'suffering servant', is the key to understand why the whole prophecy about Messiah hasn't been yet fulfilled. Then you will understand why in Zachariah 9;9  you read about him as the one ' riding on a donkey; and in Daniel 7;13-as the One coming with clouds.

 "Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
    righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
    on a colt, the foal of a donkey." Zechariah 9;9

as the One coming with clouds, Daniel 7 ;13-14
"In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man,coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.  He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed."

Called 'The Holy One of God'

Born in Bethlehem. Son of David, son of Abraham.

"For to us a child is born,
    to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
    and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the greatness of his government and peace
    there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
    and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
    with justice and righteousness
    from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
    will accomplish this." Isaiah 9;5-7

  That night one star was shining really  bright over the place where the special boy came into the world. Years passed by and the boy was growing up with wisdom  and was filled with God's spirit. His  whole life was  spent among the Jews and he became great servant of God.

  He traveled  annually with his family to Jerusalem for  the feasts, and while they visited synagogues he amazed people with his wisdom.  He baffled   the Temple leaders with his knowledge of  the Scriptures at the age of 12.
 At the age of 30  he started his public ministry teaching people about God's Kingdom and doing the most amazing work people have ever witnessed.
In teaching s and conversations alike, he constantly cited Moses and the prophets.  He was a doctor, he was a teacher. No matter what the illness, either  paralyzed  or  blind, the one who asked -  received healing. One day 10 sick  men with leprosy came to him , they got healed but only one came back to say thanks to God for the recovery.
Even the  non -thankful heart received grace. There was more than just a physical healing. The demon possessed people were having their spirit restored.
Evil spirits were trembling before him , they were  being cast out crying "I know who you are—the Holy One of God!"
People were getting healed spiritually, emotionally , being set free from all their guilt and condemnation. The restoration of souls was taking place. Despair and hopelessness was replaced with hope and  peace and God's love. They were getting free from whatever bound them down in their past. The most amazing thing was that a dead person could be raised back  to life. The power over life and dead was manifested. Lazarus was brought to life after 4 days laying dead  in the grave, Jairus'  12 year -old daughter  opened her eyes and got up after the hopeless family cried in despair over  their dead girl.
Compassion, peace, hope, tears of joy were filling the air wherever that servant of God was  invited.

Do we wish God's power to be  present in our lives in such a way? The Israeli- born man brought to people something they all have longed for. It was called
 'living water,  bread of heaven, life to the full, clean heart and peace between them and God.'
One day, this Godly man  stood up in a synagogue and  read from the book of Isaiah 61;1;
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
    because the Lord has anointed me
    to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
    to proclaim freedom for the captives
    and release from darkness for the prisoners,
 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor"

And he began to say unto them, 'This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears."
 In the 'Year of the Lord's favor'  grace and peace from God  is offered to those who listen and obey His word.
Instead of  the  'dead religion'  we can experience  the living God.

Time passed by and one day that  servant of God  was betrayed and handed over to the Roman soldiers, ridiculed, bitten and killed.
The same man who just days ago demonstrated power over life and death, over every sickness, the same one who said  to the storm; 'calm down' ( in front of his frightened friends) and the wind and waves obeyed him, and the storm was over! On the day while being in Roman's soldiers hands - he wasn't using his power, not even tried to free himself. You would wonder why would  he allow himself to be killed?  He died in your place, it was penalty  for your sin he took on. He saved you from God's wrath. Wages of sin is death, and that death he took on voluntarily  is  so you can  have your relationship with God restored. His name was Jesus. He is our Passover lamb, whose blood shed on the cross covers our sins and saves us from everlasting death.
 Isaiah 53;5 says;
"But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
    and by his wounds we are healed."

v.11 "(...)my righteous servant will justify many,
    and he will bear their iniquities."

On the third day he was risen back to life, he conquered death as Isaiah prophesied;

 Isaiah 53;10
"Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
    and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
v.11" After he has suffered,
    he will see the light of life"

                                                  The One restored back to life

 He said himself ;" I am He who lives,  and was dead, and behold I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death."
Revelation 1;18
If He is your Lord, you  are saved from everlasting death as He offers you everlasting life.
Jesus said " I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he was dead, yet shall he live"
John 11;25
